About Password Generator
Password Generator creates strong passwords using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source used for security-sensitive tasks. Choose a random password, a memorable passphrase made of words, or a numeric PIN.
Set the length from 4 to 128 characters, toggle uppercase letters, numbers and symbols, and watch the strength meter, which shows estimated entropy and crack time. You can generate up to ten passwords at once. Passwords are created on your device and are never sent or stored.
Common ways to use it
- Create a unique password for a new online account.
- Generate a memorable passphrase for a password manager or device.
- Produce several passwords at once for a team or set of accounts.
Password Generator FAQ
How long should a password be?
Use at least 12 to 16 characters for important accounts. Longer is stronger, especially when you use a password manager.
Are the passwords really random?
Yes. They are generated with the browser's cryptographically secure generator, not with a predictable function.
Do you store or see my passwords?
No. Passwords are generated locally in your browser and are never transmitted or saved.
